Cole Engineering awarded $28.7 million
contract by the United States Marine Corps Systems Command
Program

- Cole
Engineering has won a $28.7 million contract, over 5 years, to
develop the Combined Arms Command and Control Trainer Upgrade System
(CACCTUS). The CACCTUS program initiated by the US Marine Corps
is for the design, development and deployment of training system
software application products that will integrate their Live,
Virtual and Constructive domains in support of training
transformation in accordance with the Office of the Secretary of
Defense. CACCTUS, when completed, will enable Marine Combat
Commanders and their staff to hone their skills in applying
combined arms concepts on the battlefield.

- PEO STRI (US
Army) has awarded a sole source contract to Cole Engineering
Services, Inc. 3361 Rouse Road, Suite 115, Orlando, FL 32817 for
the research of Live, Virtual and Constructive Domain Functional
Requirements that will provide analytic support to future
decisions within each domain; gap analysis of the existing
efforts within the domains; redlining of existing LVC-IA DoDAF
artifacts; and reporting to supplement the requirements
database. Cole Engineering Services has extensive experience in
Army Virtual and Constructive domains, and experience in USMC
Live, Virtual and Constructive domains. The Contractor shall
provide deterministic and analytic support involving key areas
such as current capability evaluation and business process
reengineering, mission and strategy alignment, and impact
analysis of proposed system changes across the entire modeling
and simulation environment.

April 28, 2005 - The Program Manager for Training Systems
for the U.S. Marine Corps has awarded a sole source contract for
the continued systems development of the Combined Arms Command
and Control Trainer System (R&D and PMC) to Cole Engineering
Services, Inc. 3361 Rouse Road, Suite 115, Orlando, FL 32817.
CACCTUS will provide an integrated training environment for the
Marine Corps ground training systems. Cole Engineering Services
has extensive knowledge and experience associated with the
developmental CACCTUS prototype and subsystems and will act as
the Lead Developer and Integrator to accomplishing the design
and develop of the CACCTUS system architecture (roadmap) for
system development based upon their knowledge of, understanding
of, and experience with the CACCTUS requirements. The Contractor
shall lead all development, integration and test of the system
and components to include interfaces, models, and functionality
of the phased block development to meet roadmap goals and
objectives.

The Office
of Naval Research has awarded an IRAD to Cole Engineering
Services, Inc. 3361 Rouse Road, Suite 115, Orlando, FL 32817,
for the research and assessment of Natural Language Processing
for analysis of C4I free text messages and subsequent
stimulation of a computer generated force. NALPI will capture
trainees’ non-voice, free-text (C4I) communications and process
it to stimulate the OneSAF Objective System (OOS) to respond as
the real world force(s) would. Cole Engineering Services has
extensive knowledge and experience associated with C4I and the
SAF domain as well as real world experience in Natural Language
Processing and systems integration. The Contractor will lead in
assessing and evaluating state-of-the-art technology in Natural Language
Processing and in assessing and planning the integration of these
disparate systems.
